The ASRC Building

CUNY Advanced Science Research Center is Manhattan's new cross-disciplinary research institute that serves as a focal point for high-end research within the City.

After opening its doors in September 2014, during the first 12 months of operation the momentum has been building for CUNY's Nanoscience Initiative (NI) to establish itself as a focal point of research excellence in the city - with productive interactions building with academic, clinical and industrial partners across the metropolitan area, nationally and internationally. ASRC is extremely well positioned to take its place among the leading research Universities in the City, while embracing the CUNY mission.

Its early success and limitless potential are enabled by its infrastructure and location. ASRC is a unique building, with striking architecture and extremely well thought-out design of research space ideally suited to support a large, dynamic population of resident and visiting scientists. Our NYC location ensures a constant stream of visitors and facility users from near and far.

Nanoscience NY symposia are held in the ASRC auditorium, with receptions and poster sessions held in public spaces of the cafe and central stairways. At most events, tours will take place throughout the building.

The Nanoscience Initiative, housed within the ASRC, led by Dr. Rein V. Ulijn, would like to invite you to enjoy our magnificent building and facilities.
